The organizational philosophy of the firm is a studio, with teams of design and technical personnel working together throughout the life of a project to achieve client collaboration, continuity, responsiveness and design excellence. Our team of designers, architects and project managers all possess expertise in Revit BIM, including a full-time Revit specialist. The firm has a Sustainability Coordinator responsible for handling documentation as it relates to the various green certifications applicable to our projects. She actively seeks out news of innovations in the world of sustainable design, maintains the firm’s Green Blog, and makes sure we practice what we preach organizing events such as our once monthly “bring your lunch to work” day. Because many of our projects are highly regulated, we also have a DSA Coordinator to proactively keep all documentation in order throughout design to ensure timely close-out.
To ensure that each member of our team is on the forefront of design, we are an AIA certified provider of in-house continuing education programs. During our twice monthly lunchtime educational seminars, employees are given the ability to discuss architectural and office practice issues and learn from vendor seminars. AIA members annually receive 24 Learning Units and Intern Development Program (IDP) candidates receive hours related to office management and materials. As part of this program, the office frequently visits construction sites together at various stages of completion for educational instruction.
