Westside Elementary School serves a growing population in a new area of community expansion within the District. The school is designed for 600 students, grades K-5. The sloping site is dotted with oak trees, which are carefully integrated into the site plan. The design solution incorporates the presence of a historic farm house to be preserved and utilized for community use. The plan radiates along the natural site contours, linking classroom clusters around satellite technology labs. Spaces between buildings support accessible circulation, and define outdoor learning centers.
