Located on a sloping site adjacent to the football stadium, the new Ventura High School Field House supports a successful athletics program for men and women. This two-team facility provides team and locker rooms, restrooms, coach’s offices, a conference facility and outdoor events space. This CHPS compliant building conceals the placement of a District-owned relocatable restroom building within its borders, recycling an existing building. To respect the views of residential neighbors, the design reflects the surrounding hillside forms, remains low to the ground, and conceals mechanical equipment from above.
