Originally constructed in the 1960’s, Galbraith Hall housed the undergraduate library and faculty offices. As the Fine Arts Department grew, the lower level became performance, practice and studio space. This renovation creates a new library/learning resource and technology center for high-tech Revelle College. The fine arts curriculum is enhanced by a floor of practice and rehearsal spaces, classrooms, and administrative support. A black box theater provides an alternative venue for campus performing arts. Developed on an accelerated time frame, the project is the successful integration of user needs within strict budget and schedule constraints.
