A small parcel of land adjacent to the UC Riverside campus Entomology classroom building was targeted for a new museum to house the University collection that dates back to the roots of the campus. This facility houses an extensive entomology specimen collection and provides sophisticated laboratory and research space. Labs are designed with temperature controlled and isolated holding and rearing rooms as well as a seismically isolated room for research instruments. A rare collection is housed in an environmentally controlled museum space and is accessible for student research.
