This school is placed on a challenging 3.8 acre site. Safety and security goals have resulted in a U-shaped courtyard plan, with primary access facing toward a single-family residential street. Three buildings provide for K-6 classrooms, administration, library, multi-purpose building and kitchen/servery with an adjacent covered lunch shelter. Aggressive sustainable design goals have achieved High Performance Incentive (CHPS HPI) status, and meet Savings by Design criteria. The small site dictates a tight, efficient floor plan, providing the full spectrum of services for an elementary school curriculum.
