The new Santiago Creek Wildlife and Watershed Center provides an environmental education facility for the public to visit that teaches, excites and reflects the story of Santiago Creek. In conjunction with the Center’s primary goals, a key project objective has been to integrate sustainable architecture through an environmentally responsive project. The use of recycled content material, minimal site impact, natural day lighting and ventilation, energy conservation, rain water harvesting, and the use of native plant materials are a few of the sustainable features integrated in the Center’s design.
