The new Rio Rosales School houses 700 K-6 students, and provides shared community facilities. The site totals approximately seven acres, with a joint-use park adjacent to the school site. The park has been designed by Dougherty + Dougherty to coordinate with the school design. The main administration building faces the residential neighborhood and provides a convenient entrance and parking area for pedestrian and vehicular travel. A two story classroom cluster plan is developed to preserve courtyards and open space. Energy conserving design features provide natural light and ventilation throughout the campus.
