Previously housed in a deteriorating group of modular buildings, the Madison Family and Child Development Center provides a critical link between community and school. Designed to LEED Silver, the project provides licensed childcare for 48 half day children. The building engages the Southern California climate with natural light and ventilation and seamless indoor-outdoor flow. The Family Center provides an adult classroom to discuss parenting and an exercise space to promote health and wellness, building the bridge between school and community that gives parents and children the skills to thrive at home and upon entering elementary school.
