This single-story Research Laboratory Building for Cal Poly Pomona houses laboratory, teaching, research and support facilities for the University’s science and agricultural programs. The building has been strategically placed on a sloping site, sandwiched between the existing science and agricultural buildings. The design of the building responds to strict contextual guidelines that reinforce the existing campus architectural style including load-bearing masonry construction and red brick detailing. The building features individual climate controls, washable surfaces, high security and an inspiring environment in which to work, teach and conduct research projects.
