The adaptive re-use of the historic Union Pacific Railroad Station, combined with a 5,500 square foot building addition, restores an iconic community resource to its former grandeur while bringing critically needed child care to a downtown redevelopment area. Serving 90 children each day, ages 2 months to 6 years, the Station provides a supportive and nurturing place for children to learn, grow and have fun. A full kitchen enables the preparation of well balanced, nutritious meals on site. Other facilities include reception, administration, community meeting room, classrooms and support facilities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
