Crozier is a Grade 6-8 magnet school providing a concentrated curriculum in science and math for 1,300 students. The science and math emphasis is supported by a learning concept that combines classroom, laboratory and distance learning capabilities. The pre-existing school was so problematic that D+D assisted the District to successfully obtain Hardship Replacement Funding. Working with the building team, the construction schedule was compressed from 2 years to 18 months. Sustainable strategies include a high performance perimeter, energy efficient HVAC and lighting systems, and building materials utilizing recycled content to meet CHPS criteria.
