The transformation of an existing elementary school into a middle school required site improvements, modernizations and new building construction. The existing classroom building was renovated to expand the library and computer center, add wet lab classrooms and create administration space. A new two-story classroom building replaces relocatable classrooms, and a new joint-use gymnasium building accommodates both School District and Community activities. Areas of use are zoned for easy supervision and can be secured independently at different hours of operation. Site improvements include new parking lot, drop-off area, lunch shelter and outdoor amphitheater.
