This award-winning Community Center replaces a small, aging facility infusing renewed life into a neighborhood park. The facility includes a reception-size lobby, game area, adjoining divisible activity room, catering kitchen, toilet and locker rooms, administrative offices, and a large divisible double gymnasium with cross courts and bleachers. Site planning and building design is responsive to a public input process that has included community design workshops, committee meetings, planning meetings and City Council meetings. A park-oriented entrance and outdoor gathering space creates a welcoming environment respectful of the neighborhood.
